This is where it all began—the Ride for the Roses classic! Starting around 8 a.m., our cycling routes are ready for their s(up)porters. Take on the challenge with a 60 km or 40 km ride, or enjoy a fun, family-friendly experience with the kids-proof Easy Ride (10 km). A warm welcome awaits you at the finish line!

As we’re supporting cancer patients on Curaçao, we’ll raise money and awareness using all opportunities this island has to offer. Jump in the waters of Jan Thiel and swim at your own pace to finish at Mambo Beach. 2.7 km, open water. Ready to show your unconditional support?

In cooperation with Atletiekbond Curacao, since 2025 the Run for the Roses has been added to the list of RftRC events. All funds raised from the events organized by Ride for the Roses will benefit cancer patients and their families. Additionally, our foundation aims to raise awareness about cancer in Curacao.

Surf for the roses
The 3rd edition of the Surf for the Roses is scheduled to take place later in 2026. A group of experienced kitesurfers, windsurfers and wingfoilers will surf from Klein Curacao to Mambo Beach Boulevard. The registration fees of all participants is donated to the Ride for the Roses Foundation, for the support of cancer patients and their families on Curacao.

Art for the roses
Several local artists participated in the successful Art for the Roses event in 2023, creating special pieces for the occasion. The artworks were displayed at Landhuis Bloemhof for a month, featuring the rose as a symbol of the Ride for the Roses and its mission to raise funds for those affected by cancer. The program concluded with a successful auction and dinner night. Thank you to everyone who attended and supported the event!

The 20th edition of the Ride, Swim, Walk & Run for the Roses is scheduled for Sunday, January 25th, 2026.
All funds raised from the events organized by Ride for the Roses will benefit cancer patients and their families.
Additionally, our foundation aims to raise awareness about cancer in Curacao.
Ride Road 40: This route spans 40 km. It begins and ends at Mambo Boulevard, starting at 8:00 am.
Ride Road 60: This route covers 60 km. It also kicks off at 8:00 am from the parking lot at Mambo Boulevard, where it will conclude.
Please note that there is NO MTB route this year.
Ride Easy Bike 10km: This easy kids ride route is 10 km long. It begins and ends at Mambo Boulevard, starting at 8:00 am.

Kids Swim 500 mtr: This route is designed for children up to 12 years old and begins at 11:30 am. It starts at Lions Dive Beach and concludes at Wet & Wild.
Swim 2.7 km: This route starts at Zanzibar, Jan Thiel, and finishes at Wet & Wild. It covers a distance of 2.7 km and begins at 12:00 pm.
Since the Swim 2.7 km starts from Zanzibar Beach at Jan Thiel, shuttle buses will be available from the parking lot at Mambo Boulevard to Zanzibar, Jan Thiel. These buses will operate between 9:00 am and 10:45 am.
Please note that there will be no official Competition Swim for the Roses this year. Competitive swimmers will be given priority to enter the water first.

Family Walk 5 km: The first route will begin at 7:02 am from Brionplein (Otrobanda) and will conclude at Mambo Boulevard. This route is 5 km in length.
Walk 8.5 km: The second route will also start at 7:02 am from Brionplein (Otrobanda), passing over the Queen Juliana Bridge, via Prinses Wilhelmina Fonds at Scharlooweg, finishing at Mambo Boulevard. This route measures 8.5 km.

Run 2 km: This route begins at 7:05 am from Chaya Willems (Penstraat) and concludes at Mambo Boulevard. It covers a distance of 2 km.
Run 5 km: Starting at 7:00 am from Brionplein (Otrobanda), this route also finishes at Mambo Boulevard. It spans 5 km and is similar to the Walk 5 km.
Run 8.5 km: This route starts at 7:00 am from Brionplein (Otrobanda), passes over the Queen Juliana Bridge, and ends at Mambo Boulevard. It is 8.5 km long and parallels the Walk 8 km.
The inaugural Surf for the Roses took place on January 28, 2024, featuring a group of skilled kitesurfers, windsurfers, and wingfoilers who journeyed from Klein Curacao to Mambo Beach Boulevard. The registration fees of all participants is donated to the Ride for the Roses Foundation to support cancer patients and their families on Curacao.
The event also aims to raise cancer awareness, with volunteer videographers and photographers capturing the action for social media. In 2024, over 40 participants signed up across the three surfing disciplines, departing Klein Curacao at 11:00 AM and arriving at Mambo Beach around 2:00 PM, driven by the wind and waves.
Emanuel Quintero (Klein Curacao Kitesurfing) and Kimberley Matroos (Awa Salu Kiteboarding) organized the event, with Irie Tours providing free transportation for the surfers to Klein Curacao. Citro ensured participant safety on the water, while Wet & Wild, Y-knot Fishing, Mermaid, and Curaçao Boat Charters supported the event's success.
Each year, we host a special movie night in the final months of the year, with all proceeds going entirely to the good cause: PWF. The event will take place at The Movies in Otrobanda, and a new date will be announced in due course through our social media channels.
