Art for the roses
Various local artists have already sent in their enthusiasm to participate at this unique event. Their pieces of art have been created especially for this Art for the Roses occasion. All pieces of art will be shown at Landhuis Bloemhof for a month starting in October 22. All art pieces will incorporate the rose, as this is the symbol of Ride for the Roses and the objective we stand for raising as much funds to support people and their families affected by cancer. The Art for the Roses program will be closed off with an Art for the Roses Auction & dinner night.

This is where it all began. The RFTR classic. Starting at around 8 a.m., our cycling tracks are awaiting their s(up)porters! Give it your all during a challenging 60 or 40 km ride, or join with the whole family together, cycling the kids-proof Easy Ride. A warm welcome will be awaiting you at the finish.

Surf for the roses
The first edition of the Surf for the Roses will take place on the 5th of February 2023. A group of experienced kitesurfers, windsurfers and wingfoilers will surf from Klein Curacao to Mambo Beach Boulevard. The registration fee of 145,- NAF per participant is donated to the Ride for the Roses Foundation, for the support of cancer patients and their families on Curacao.

The Walk for the Roses will take place on Sunday, February 5, 2023.

The second aim of our foundation is creating awareness around cancer in Curacao.
The first route - will start at 7:00am from Brionplein (Otrobanda) and end at Mambo Boulevard. This route is 5 km long.
The second route - will also start at 7:00am from Brionplein (Otrobanda) and will pass the high bridge Queen Juliana and will also end at Mambo Boulevard.
This route is 7.8 km long.

Road Bike Route 1 - This route is 40 km long. It starts and ends at Mambo Boulevard and will start at 8:00 am.
Road Bike Route 2 - This one is 60 km long. This also starts at 8:00am from Mambo boulevard at the parking lot where this route also ends.
This year there is NO MTB route due to fludding in the area.
Easy Bike Route - This route will be 10 km long. It starts and ends at Mambo Boulevard and will start at 8:00 am.

There are 3 different types of swimming activities.
There are 2 swim tracks for adults and 1 for kids.
Shuttles to the start of the Swim
As the adult swim starts from Zanzibar beach at Jan Thiel there will be shuttle buses leaving from Mambo Boulevard from the parking lot to Zanzibar, Jan Thiel. The buses will run up and down to Zanzibar between 9:00am and 10:45am.
Kids Swim - this route is for kids and starts at 11:30am. The route starts at Lions Dive Beach and ends at Wet & Wild.
Competition Swim - This swim is for the trained swimmers to have an opportunity to set the shortest possible time to finish the race. The starting point is Zanzibar, Jan Thiel and the finishing point is at Wet & Wild. The route is 2.7 km long.
Recreation Swim - This route also goes from Zanzibar to Wet & Wild and will start at 12:10pm. This route is also 2.7 km long
and can be done completely at your own pace.

Raising cancer awareness is another aim of the event. A number of volunteer videographers and photographers will cover Surf for the Roses and share their footage on social media.
In the three surfing disciplines combined, over 40 participants signed up for the challenge. They will leave Klein Curacao at 11.00 AM. Propelled by the wind and waves, they are expected to arrive at Mambo Beach around 14.00 PM. Of course all depending on the weather conditions.
Emanuel Quintero (Klein Curacao Kitesurfing) and Kimberley Matroos (Awa Salu Kiteboarding) are the initiators and organizers of the event. Irie Tours is helping the surfers by bringing them to Klein Curacao free of costs. Citro will be present on the water, for the safety of the participants. Wet & Wild, Y-knot Fishing, Mermaid and Curaçao Boat Charters are also helping out, to make the first edition of Surf the Roses possible.
